How It Works

Here is a general outline of what to expect of the admission process for students starting college in September 2012. Applications for students wishing to enter the Winter 2013 and Summer 2013 terms are processed year round and are not subject to the same timelines. Specific dates, information and instructions will be communicated throughout the year. If you have any questions, please call us at 519-452-4277.

Applications

Apply to Fanshawe College at ontariocolleges.ca.

  • Applications open October 31, 2011.
  • All applications received by ontariocolleges.ca on or before February 1, 2012 will be guaranteed equal consideration. After this date some programs will be closed and applications for open programs will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Initial Contact

Beginning in early December 2011, Fanshawe Admissions staff will start contacting you to ensure your application is complete.

  • Make sure your contact information (mailing address, email) is up-to-date on ontariocolleges.ca.
  • Check your email and WebAdvisor regularly.
  • Will someone else be calling on your behalf? If so, you need to give us permission to release any personal information. Release of Information Form

Decisions

Watch for your decision letter.

  • Admission Decisions will begin to be made after February 1, 2012
  • Admission decisions for highly competitive programs will be complete by March 25, 2012
  • View your Admission Status: On WebAdvisor, By Email or By Letter

Confirm

Did You Get In? Confirm your Offer at ontariocolleges.ca by May 1, 2012.

  • If we don’t hear from you by May 1, 2012 your offer will be cancelled and made available to another applicant.

Conditions

Complete your admission conditions.

  • You have until 3 weeks before the start of classes.

Complete your registration requirements.

  • Some programs have conditions like math and English testing, health forms, police checks, etc. that must be completed. View our Registration Requirements page on the Fanshawe College website to find out more.

Registration & Fees

Receive your Registration Package including your Fee Invoice (money and due dates).

  • Your Registration Package contains IMPORTANT information. Please take the time to read it carefully.
